How we handle your child's information

Last updated: 28 July 2026

Every student who uses Future Map AI is under 18, and Indian law treats their personal data with particular care. So do we. This page explains, in plain language, what that means in practice.

The account belongs to you, not to your child

When you sign up, the account is created against your email address as the parent or legal guardian. Your child uses it to take the assessment, but you control it. You can see everything in it, and you can delete all of it at any time.

We ask your permission before anything begins

Before your child answers the first question, a consent screen appears. It explains in four lines what we collect and what we will never do with it, and asks you to confirm that you are the parent or guardian.

We verify this with a one-time code sent to your mobile number. It takes about thirty seconds, and your child cannot begin the 137 questions until it is done.

This is not a formality. Indian law requires verifiable consent from a parent or guardian before a child's personal data is processed. We record your mobile number, the confirmation, the date and the time as evidence that consent was properly given.

If you have more than one child using Future Map AI, we ask for consent separately for each of them. Consent belongs to the child, not to the account.

What we collect about your child

  • Their first name and class
  • Their answers to the 137 assessment questions
  • Their mark sheets, if you choose to provide them
  • Your observations about them, if you choose to answer those nine questions
  • Notes from a counselling session, if you book one

That is the complete list. We do not collect their phone number, their photograph, their precise location, their contacts, or anything from their social media accounts.

What we do not do

We do not advertise to your child. No advertising or remarketing tags of any kind run on the sign-up screen, the assessment, the report, or the account area. Your child is never added to an advertising audience, by us or by anyone else.

We do not track your child's behaviour. We measure how far through the assessment people get, so we can improve it. We do not build behavioural profiles of students.

We do not share their data with colleges, coaching institutes or publishers. Not for a fee, not as part of a partnership, not at all.

We do not sell personal data. Ever, to anyone, for any amount.

We do not let anyone train systems on your child's data. Where automated analysis is used to generate the report, it is carried out under terms that prohibit any provider from using our data to train or improve their systems.

What the report is, and what it is not

The report is a guide for a conversation. It is not a diagnosis, not a clinical assessment, and not a prediction. It does not label your child. It is not shared with anyone you have not asked us to share it with.

We are explicit about the limits of what it can tell you, both on the report itself and across this website. The Basic Report reaches roughly 50% accuracy. Adding marks and your observations lifts it to about 70%. A session with an expert takes it to about 90%. We will not claim more than that, because no assessment predicts a life.

You can take it all back

At any time, from your account settings, you can:

  • See everything we hold about your child
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Download all of it
  • Delete the account and everything in it
  • Withdraw your consent

Withdrawing consent deletes your child's assessment data and ends the service. There is no penalty, no notice period, and no retention we hold you to.

How long we keep it

Three years from your last activity on the account, unless you delete it sooner. Transaction records are kept for eight years because tax law requires it.

What the consent screen asks you

Four things, in plain language: what we collect, what we use it for, what we never do with it, and confirmation that you are the parent or guardian. You verify with a code sent to your mobile. Nothing is processed before that.

If your child turns 18

A student who reaches 18 while holding an account may ask us to transfer it into their own name and control. Write to us and we will arrange it.

If something goes wrong
